PATTERN DESIGNING -MAKING AND INSPECTION
At Gujarat Intrux all patterns are match plate mounted in the sampling stage
itself which leads to consistent quality castings. |
SAND DRYING-MIXING AND TESTING
For the better process control at Intrux we used dry sand.
The sand testing lab equipped with compressive permeability, friability, sieve
analysis and clay testing equipments. At Gujarat Intrux we take 2 samples
per shift and measured for moisture, compactibility, permeability and green
strength. |
MOULD AND CORE MAKING
At Gujarat Intrux we make mould with semi- automatic loop line which leads
to high accuracy of dimensions tolerances related to statistical error. For
mould making we use Co2 process and for core we use Co2 as well No back
process. |
MOULD INSPECTION AND COATING
As a final inspections of mould and core, it must be smooth, free of loose sand
or projections before they are sent for coating. Liquid metal penetrates the pores
of the sand mould or core giving a rough surface to the castings. A refractory
coating on the mould or core will give a good surface finish to castings. |
MOULD AND CORE ASSEMBLY
Cores are positioned in the mould by core prints. Good core setting involves
advanced planning so that the cores will be perfectly and firmly held when the metal
is poured. |
CASTINGS
The mould after core assembly and inspection are ready for pouring and prepares it to
receive the specified alloy. The mould is filled to the required level and left to solidify. |
MOULD KNOCK OUT
When filled metal with mould are fully cooled, the sand is removed mechanically from
the cast assembly. All cast parts are then removed from the runner system by gauging
and gas cutting. |

FINISH
Gujarat Intrux offers a choice of finishes and appearance achieving by using a variety
of blasting techniques and chemical process. |
